Tis from Mario silly, but seeing how Link's Awakening is based in a real-ish dreamworld, they've put some cameo's in it from Mario characters and Kirby. ^_^

I know what ye mean... it also made ye wonder what happened to link, seein how he was left sat on a log in the middle on the ocean, and the ungrateful Windfish flys off somewhere. And for some Reason I always have James Earls Jone's voice in my head as the windfish. 0_0
Lovely music too, shame the GB could only do it in beeps tho, but me got an orchestrated version of it, so wooo. ^_^
