So... I don't think I've introduced these two to you guys yet.

I first created Ali and Rea as Soul Eater OCs. She was the Meister and he was her weapon. I struggled with CanonXOC pairings for both of them for a while, before I decided they'd be better off together. But, SE wasn't a major fandom of mine and I hit a roadblock with their story, so I just kinda forgot about it.

Flash forward to 2015, and I found an old story-plot idea from years and years ago, and I decided to re-do the whole thing. I wanted to use Ali and Rea for it, since it is still about a boy who can turn into a sword and the girl who wields him. The story is called Vainglory, the name Reagan takes as a weapon.

A lot has changed about them, but what's remained is the dynamic they share with each other. Aaliyah is sweet, slightly naive, but a hard worker with terrible luck and is guaranteed to pretty much fail her first try at... anything. Reagan is intelligent, bordering on insufferable, and a deadpan snarker who always had it easy in life and is almost completely exasperated with his incompetent mistress.

Also, yeah. They aren't a couple any more. And they're never going to be. When I get around to actually writing this story, it's going to focus on teamwork and friendship. Not romance.
