i wanted to draw something xiaolin and i ended up doing this
i can never seem to settle on a color scheme for kory, but i like this one
the basic story is omi and lizzy went to visit clay and renai, and they brought their kids kory and mei with them.Ā
kory's the kind of guy that doesn't stop training, even on vacation, so he spends most of his time on this visit in the barn, practicing his forms. melody, being the sweetheart she is, decides to bring him some water and they have a little talk
this isnt really meant to be shippy, i just thought itd be fun to see kory and melody interact and be friends

I know the feel. I've been working and dealing with school, so I haven't had as much time as I want to sit down and draw. But I recently just got back into the Xiaolin fandom after a long hiatus. The fandom has gained a few new members, and they each have interesting art/characters. It's a much nicer atmosphere than it was when I first came into it. I see you've improved significantly with your art! I mean, it's always been cute and well done, but there's so much improvement here! Don't pressure yourself into making more Xiaolin art. You make what you want to make. Either way, I'll be looking forward to more of your stuff.

Oh, that's really cool!! I'll definitely check that out. And yeah, I kind of completely dropped out of it because the tumblr fandom for it left a huge bad taste in my mouth(seriously they were saying shit like 'this is the total drama fandom so there needs to be drama'). It's just really tiring.

It's just as bad on here. Just the other day someone was butt hurt over losing a contest I was judging, and is STILL making a big deal out of it. It's annoying. She's been making pictures/journals bitching about how she didn't even get an honorable mention. A lot of the people in the fandom are just so freaking psychotic. I only have a handful of people I can say are my friends from the fandom, as opposed to the Xiaolin one, where I have a lot of people I get along with.

Oh god that sounds awful. Yeah, I don't know what it is with the TDI fandoms. Nobody can agree on anything =_=; but the XS fandom is really nice from what I remember, and hearing it's only gotten better is nice and refreshing. It's nice to be in a fandom where theres hardly any drama for a change!

Especially if you even speak of Duncan, Courtney, or Gwen. They're THE most controversial characters. No one can agree on anything surrounding those three. When I first got into the Xiaolin fandom, there was a bit of drama. But it's nowhere near as bad as what I've been through in the TD fandom. Plus, most of the people that did cause trouble in the Xiaolin fandom have either left or have matured since then.

Oh god yeah, there's so many arguments over them. It's been like over 5 years, people seriously need to chill lol... yeah, I never really got into any mess with anyone in the Xiaolin fandom. It's nice hearing that people have grown, though.
