Description
" Hey Zeru, I grabbed some Charberries while I was at the market, " Avina said as she stepped into the clearing. She looked down at her jacket pockets, pulling on in front of her to take a look at her loot to make sure they hadn't cracked open on the trip here." I wasn't sure if you liked spicy foods but- " she mouth snapped shut as she looked up at him. He was sitting in his usual spot, but instead of playing his guitar he was slumped over it, asleep. " Sorry, " she whispered. He didn't get woken up by her did he?
Quietly, she walked over to him, leaning back and forth to get some different angles on him. He looked like he as still asleep...and there was something new on his head. Was that a scar? She lifted up a paw and gently pushed his hair out of the way. How in the world did he manage to carve his head up like that? Seemed like another thing to talk to him about once he woke up.
" Okay I'm just going to hold on to these until you wake up. " Just in case he was awake but just didn't want to move. It looked like she would be waiting for him to wake up. There were too many questions she wanted answers to that she didn't want to wait to ask another day.
She sat down next to him and stared up at the trees with a sigh. Nothing to do now but wait, it seemed. She hated waiting, but when she looked at him sleeping she couldn't get the motivation to wake him. He looked so exhausted, she wondered if he'd been having trouble sleeping at the nook. Alma did enforce a bedtime for the younger wyngrew, but it was hard to make sure everyone was in bed when many wyngrew found ways to come and go at any hour.
Everything bad led back to Alma, didn't it? Just another reason she needed to find her way out of the nook soon, and with Alma having kicked Mingle out recently...well, she was starting to wonder if the same might happen to her. Her crusade against Alma's unfairness hadn't really endeared her to the woman.
At least it was still nice outside. The leaves were starting to fall, but the wind didn't have any bite yet. Once winter hit she would be forced to spend more time at the nook, and if she had to sit around with that whiny, nagging, wingus for that long she wasn't sure what she would do.
Avina yawned, giving Zeru another glance. Still asleep, and not getting anymore awake by the looks of it. Maybe he would know a nice place to hang out outside during the winter. He seemed to hate the nook as much as she did. They could go camping in the snow or something, it would be fun.
Her eyes closed for a moment as she imagined the woods in the winter. It was cold and icy, so she never went here when it was full of snow, but she could imagine it would be stunning. The leaf litter hidden by snow like the grass in the hills. The dense bushes collecting enough snow on their branches to look like huge white mounds between the trees.
And of course, a snow covered Zeru sitting in the clearing like he always did. So focused on his guitar he didn't even notice that winter had come. She snickered quietly at that, slowly falling asleep as she thought of how embarrassed he would be to find out he had missed the end of fall sitting here in the woods.

'Avina doesn't make friends' I tell the chat as I prepare to post intense fluff involving her. I've had this story written for a little while now and I've been very eager to post it. It's going to be part of a neat little series. owo'
