Greedings Deviants!!!I've just participated in an event called ART vs. ART!
This is a DANGEROUS EVENT where some art WILL DIE!!!
Everyone participating has been given the same materials to paint a work of art - and a maximum of 4 hours (this one took a little over 2 hours)
Then people vote online -
the top 32 (?) pieces get voted in at the MAIN event - where only 16 of those will go HEAD TO HEAD in a BATTLE to the DEATH!!! (if said loser doesn't get auctioned)
The WHEEL OF DEATH determines the punishment, a chainsaw is the favorite.

This is my 3rd time to step into the arena. The first year, I did not make it to stage.
Last year I made it to round 4, last TWO paintings, but the work got destroyed.
This year, I made it to round one (of 4) and the painting was saved. First profitable year!

Nope! I made it to the top 32, then on stage with the top 16!! I did not make it past round one, but the work did not get destroyed either!! THANKFULLY someone saved it during the auction! I was lucky tho, the wheel of death did not land on INSTANT DEATH - which is death without the auction opportunity!

Its not new, but being able to vote 3 times for the same person is new. Its either an advantage for the artists or its a loophole in the system. O.o

That challenge sounds amusing. I love this. The detail in the center, on the face, makes it that much cooler. Cause in all reality it's a very simple image. But not. Nice.
