whats it like having a true "christmas in july" (pretty much just having christmas during the summer)

well Christmas time is the summer holidays
unlike Americans we have a big break to celebrate in and we dont have a week or 2 like you
we have 4 terms and not 3 so its more spreed out
we have tones of events around the time like Mel bone cup, new year and Australia day.
so there are tones of parties XD
its warm and most city people go to the beach and do water activities
we do a lot of the same things as you (but with our own family traditions)
it dosen't snow and gets dam hot
so people change lyrics of some songs like jingle bells from going on a slay to driving in a rusty ute on a hot summers day !! XD
when i was little i use to make mud men (like snow men XD) and mud angles
XD
also at home on X-mas eve we go looking for the tree
it so much fun diving into the bush to find it
XD
its very different but the same if you ask me
same meaning and that, just different ways of showing and a longer brack

i know you get the long summer holidays off because its not warm for long over there.

well our summer break is in your winter. ther isnt much going on the only holiday durint that time is 4th of july (americas b-day party) and my little brothers b-day. Pretty much we just go on vacations to cool places or stay at home and relax.
where i live in the U.S the highest temp is 90 if we are lucky but honestly i hate warm weather. 50-60 degrees is best to me.
x-mas is well, christmas. we celebrate jesus christ's birth nad spend time with family. we get a cool pine tree and decorate it and we drink hot cocoa. We go sledding and pretty much have winter fun.
Halloween is very windy here and we pretty much just have a lot of costume parties in school and in other groups.
