This is my first (test
) render on my new Toshiba Satellite laptop. The i7 CPU is perfect, preview renders were done in 3 seconds, though for a HQ final render the 4 GB RAM requires some patience 
. Upgrading to 8 GB would cost another $400, but if you know a webshop I can order RAM cheaper, just holla The VGA had some issues with Shader, but hopefully it's gonna be fixed soon.

Are the closer trees and grass manually-placed? or are they just very fortunate ecosystem instances? looks to perfect to be the latter, but man just a few manually placed trees is enough to slow mine to a hault, I'm jealous of your computer

Jaw-dropping impressive - I would love to know how you do water and waterfalls!
I love the scene composition techniques you have: river; low cloud and layers of fog; dense forest/jungle; foreground plants; green white and yellow; a little exposed rock. The middle-ground foliage is stunning in it's design and complexity.
I avoid even trying these kinds of forest images just because I know I'll never make them anywhere near as beautiful.
