OH MY FREAKIN GOD! I hope you won´t mind me going crazy now but I´m so DAMN PROUD of how this turned out
lol so now I´m drawing fan art for a game I haven´t even played yet xD I need to get my lazy ass up and click on the purchase button on steam
Oh man, drawing in this style brought up old memories of the street art/ graffiti lessons I visited last year in school. We´ve been drawing and practicing this style with the thick, black lines all the time. Ah, I miss that time! It was awesome~ X3
Well, what else to say about the pic...
probably that Isaac is totaly awesome, defeating demons and monsters with only his tears...like a boss! xD
I really like the design of ´The Fallen´, so you can probably expect some more pics of him ;D

Coloring and shading this was really fun. I´ll probably do more pictures in this style (or at least I´ll try...)

When you think about it, Isaac is the ultimate bad ass.
He defeats monsters many times his size, he went all the way to hell to defeat Satan himself, and after showing that he was more powerful then Satan he defeated HIMSELF, then to take things up well past eleven he proceeded to defeat a even more powerful version of himself. What's next? In rebirth will the Sheol version of the Chest have him fight God? That'd be pretty sweet.
Did I mention he usually does all of this with his tears?
Plus, to survive just SOME of the items he uses to power himself up is a act of badassery in itself. I mean, those things would kill any ordinary person, much less make them stronger.

Well instead, the Sheol version of The Chest is called "The Dark Room." The True True Last Boss there is a powerful demon called "The Lamb."

True, back then when I made this picture, I haven´t played the game yet. I´ve seen several Let´s Plays on youtube though.
Honestly, I don´t see what´s wrong with this picture,though. Sure, Krampus can´t spawn in one of those battle rooms and all, but in my eye fan art doesn´t need to fit the game a 100%. So why does it bother you so much?

That's not what I meant, I'm talking about the emotional feel of the game. At first Isaac is quite weak but gets stronger as you gather upgrades. However those upgrades all change his sprite until he's just as monstrous as what he's fighting. This Isaac looks like he's just gone into the basement. Also to be able to kick ass so much in the game is also quite luck based. If you don't get the right upgrades the game will screw you over. The feel of the game is where the deeper you go the tougher enemies will be and it's dubious whether you'll get the right items to keep up with their strength.

But like I said, I don´t see why fan art should be as accurate
as possible. Sometimes it´s really nice to see pictures of
a fictional character that show him/her in a way you wouldn´t see
them in the game itself.
In the case of my picture here: Yes, you are right. It´s the items
that make Isaac stronger and that decide whether you beat the run or
not. With this picture, however, I wasn´t aiming to show all the
badass items you can find in the game. Instead I wanted to show that
Isaac won´t give in to his enemies so easily, no matter what items he got.
This might be a bit hard to tell, though, so I apologize for not making
it clear enough. Maybe I should add that to the artist´s comment below the
picture.
Anyway, I can try to draw another picture for the game, this time with
items if you want ^-^ Maybe you could also tell me what item combination
you´d like to see? I´m always open and grateful for suggestions.
