It removes your submission from the group if it is still pending to be accepted/declined.

If you withdraw a deviation, then does the group see that you withdrew it?
I thought that the group didn't see it at all (i.e. if you withdraw, then it's as if you never submitted it), but this morning, I had a "withdrawn" correspondence request in the message center, so now I'm afraid that everything I've ever withdrawn was visible to the groups... They probably thought I was so flaky, because I withdrew and resubmitted my drawings several times. >_<

Yes, we can see when a deviation is withdrawn during the voting process. We can also see when you remove it from the group as well.

Really?! O.o Oh geez. That's awful. I've also deleted my deviations from many groups, thinking that they wouldn't know about it. I figured that it was just like unwatching someone, where the person is not notified. Wow. I really need to be more careful about that stuff from now on.
Do you know if I withdraw and resubmit a drawing three times in one voting process, then would the admins see two withdrawal messages and one submission request or would they see just a submission request?

They would see two withdrawal notices and one submission.

Click on the top of the correspondence comment that told you to withdraw (Deviation Submission process) and click on LOG on the right side of the menu. You may be able to withdraw that way. Otherwise without the message you can't (and the group can't either).

Yeah because it will be declined if it's not withdrawn D: You'll have to wait 7 days from the decline date.

Bit confused by your question...
Do you mean as though someone requested your artwork to be placed into a group?
If so, then you just click yes in your correspondence message.
If you meant for #ArtisticAnimanga specifically, then there is no true way to say, 'Your submission will be approved.' This is because more than one person votes on each submission, so the only to know is to submit it to the group and wait for the outcome.

Someone did request my art, but the only things that show up are either 'withdraw' or 'no comments'. A friend told me I don't have to do anything, they just have to approve of it on their end.

Hmm, that means you sent in the artwork to the group, the group didn't request it.
If it was requested, you would be given an option to either accept or decline. When you submit it to a group with a voting process, then they are the ones to choose to accept or decline the submission.

If you have already deleted the correspondence comment, there is no way to withdraw the submission and you will have to wait till it is either declined or expired. :\

Once the deviation has been submitted, can't you just go to that deviation, hit "Edit deviation," and unclick the box of the group it submitted into? That's how to remove art from a group, right?
π: 0 β©: 1
01309 In reply to Guitarheroineno1 [2010-10-07 22:35:33 +0000 UTC]
Yes, however that is for when the submissions has been accepted into a group. Withdrawing is for when the submission is going through the group voting process and pending on being either accepted or declined.
