Thanks for the tutorial. It was fun achieving the end result & I've learned some awesome new things along the way.
I'm not that knowledgeable in CINEMA 4D.. so it actually took me quite a while to do step2 (I had to google a few pages to find how to apply & where to find the Matrix Extrude.. I had no idea that I needed to be in Polygon Mode). It also took me some time to find some of the other tools mentioned but I got there in the end!
All in all.. I'm happy I did this tutorial, thank you for sharing it.
