Novatts are a space orientated species. Created by the explosion of a supernova, Novatts evolved millions of years after that to what they are now.
They have been around for a long time and society for them has expanded faster than any human race. They colonize and live side by side many species in their galaxy and other galaxies. Some take over entire planets and others want harmony among all.
There were four ancient Novatts who are considered the first of their kind and two are still mostly present til this day
Lingerie is an important part of mating and has been around since the earlier times. A style established and brought to popularity by their ancestors is the main force of attraction when picking a partner.

Planet NAV-0X is where novatts first started appearing, along with more species popping up from the moons nearby. The planet is separated by districts, all having a different attraction than the other. A lot of money comes from tourist looking to indulge in the culture.

Novatts are a space orientated species created by the explosion of a supernova. The first species of Novatts were more rugged for the harsher climates. Ater the climate got worse they spread out among the land. The first black matter novatt landed on NAV-0X after life was thought to be on there. She was recognized as a goddess among the west. Since these earlier times the kings and queens have established the standard of mating by appealing clothing, whether it be very extravagant or just less.

Apollo a surprisingly different and angelic looking novatt appeared on the eastern side of the planet. Noir traveled from the west to
meet this one considered a deity, and did not like him one bit. Despite disliking him, she felt some sort of
infatuation to him with his charm. Resulting in a massive Dynasty ranging from across the east to the west.
Noir and Apollo conceived successful and powerful leaders down a line for centuries.

After time Apollo and Noir began distancing themselves because of many disagreements regarding military
tactics, policies, and politics, the two split. Being bitter about it, the two began fighting. And a war to
this scale could meet a lot of dead ends.

A voice from the cold north appeared. An average size appearing novatt, though some parts of their appearance
were.. outdated compared to the others. This was another ancient, Noname who was the first and last of their
evolutionary link. She spoke of peace among the conflicting sides and managed to get to Apollo. Successfully
ending the conflict, this ancient was put in power.

Noname was able to double the progress of the novatt civilization within another century. Making many
scientific advances and discoveries, they discovered a savage sea kingdom underneath the southern oceans, as well
as a giant creature. That's dated back to thousands of years. It was founded to be another subspecies to novatts, a Pulsar. She got along well with the to be presumed, Sea King

This caused some tension between the ancients. Noir had plans of mining what was in that territory after rumors of treasures.This caused the first major war against the south and the west. It raged on for years before stopping abruptly at the sudden disappearance of Noname. This threw the balance off further. The planet came to it's senses again after Apollo intervened, resulting in a truce and pact to lead together. Noname was gone and the Sea king distanced himself. Many years past and their society progressed with top scientist, best security, and best public relations.

This led to the colonization era, where many explorers and astronauts were launched in to space to scope out compatible planets. The information was relayed back to Noir's forces who then took over some planets while cooperating with the leaders on others.This lasted for hundreds of years but finally slowed down due to the intervening. It slowly came to an end the planet mellowed out. They still keep the same traditions from ages ago and continue to flourish. Noir and Apollo distanced themselves from the public eye by residing on the on the moons close by.

-Pregnancies are carried up to 3-5 months

Do they have to wear lingerie?
Not at all. It's a tradition that plenty stick by when choosing mates and gives more free movement(because of the wings and stuff) But it's not required

Can Novatts be poly or in poly relationships?
Yes they can! I'd say it isn't as socially acceptable among traditionalist but it's allowed.

Do they have to mate for life?
Up to you. But mentally they typically do. When they officially mate(similar to the level of marriage) it's very unlikely for them to split.

What's most looked for in a mate? Can they mate with other species?
Confidence is most looked for! The personality of your Novatt would correlate with their personality. So that mean's if they dress flashy and/or less it's most sought after.
They can mate with any other species and it's fairly common for them to do so!

Can Novatts make hybrids among their own variations?
They can not! It's either one or the other

Do they mate with the other variations?
They can! But I'd say it's more common to stick to their own when finding a mate because of the different aging rate.

Can they interact with humans? How would they react?
Yes! On their home planet there's other aliens and some humans. They wouldn't be so surprised about this UNLESS they were from Districts 16 and above.

How do mutations happen?
Similar to how human biology works with birth defects.
Mutations Novatts currently have happened from, breeding with different species, environmental factors, and radiation and this DNA is passed down through generations.
Not everyone in their family is able to GET the mutation! Some may just be carriers of it.
Mutations can cause health problems depending on how they appear.
Ex. A vampire Novatt is more subject to being albino which could damage/hurt their skin in sunlight.
The spike mutation may grow too close or over their eyes and mouth.
The see through mutation makes them common to bruising and lacking durability.
The glow mutation is more susceptible to predators or those who intend to find them to cause harm.

How are mutations viewed in Society?
Hybrid specific mutations are more of neutral. BUT- very extravagant hybrids are seen as species.
Other mutations such as spikes, see through, vampire, etc. aren't very desirable in partners because of the possibility of negative health issues.

Amputations and Bionic parts?
These are allowed since any of them are able to use a limb!
All limbs are able to function like the replaced limb. The prosthetic arm can have a sympathetic wing as well. Higher tech prosthetic with extras are more expensive.

Can their tentacles be longer? How do they work?
Yes! They can extend but they're kept short and sometimes in their body.
They can hold and grab on to things like normal hand as well as be tacked against solid surfaces out of and in water.
If they're cut off they can grow back after a span of 2 months

Can they have powers?
Yes! But! This is given out during specific events as a purchasable perk via in group currency.
