Description
Commission for Pojodan on Furaffinity.I really had fun working on this one. It was supposed to be a "simple illustration" but adding detail is stronger than me!

How do your anthro's react to the evidence of human civilization?Β Do they care?Β Great art as per usual with you.

Well, this is not one of my anthros so I wouldn't know ^^
I suppose they would care about them, but wouldn't be too fazed. Also, there's evidence of non-human civilizations around as well.

Whoa! Great job! The anatomy and the backgroun are amazing. And the statue looks funny. I love the colours.Β
If you want critique, I suppose that you should work more on the faces of characters because it is hard to see where is a female or male animal. To be short, your male and female cat faces looks too much the same. Here I even couldn't understand which gender this cheetah has. So, work on muzzle design and that's the only critique!Β

Thanks mate!
I generally agree, but in this case I just followed the instructions ^^ The character herself is pretty androgynous, with no breasts or feminine features.

Hello:
Β About humanized anthros, I make a mea culpa as I do add some "hair" to them as it helps me tell them apart, but I agree that making them too humanized serves no real purpose as it would become the typical "why not make them human then?" situation.

I don't mean that. I just say that even animal characters must look recognisable. A watcher must not guess who is who. If he guesses, that's a problem of design. If you want your watcher to remember your character, you should work on his look. And the face is no less important than the body. No matter of race.Β

Well, That is why I mentioned I give my characters "hair" because that helps them tell them apart . As for female characters, I am slowly working on that but I think, in my case at least, it would be easy enough (I have a drawing in my gallery but I won't post it so I won't hijack the deviation). But thing is, Olaffson and TitusWeiss have a more realistic approach in their designs because the animals they take inspiration from, in real-lie, are hard to distinguish between males and females... and I understand the desire to avoid the other extreme, as seen in furry fansom.

Fantastic art!
I love how he holds the bow and supports it with his body. Also, the background is amazing and reminds me of LotR!

Nice work man, always like your work I'm going to have to commission you some dayΒ
Do you mind if I throw a couple of pointers on the bow? It does not really matter it's just nitpicky stuff. I can't draw for toffees so fair play if you don't want to hear it I could not do any betterΒ

Thank you so much man! I hope I can keep up with commissions despite my classes, but I'm afraid it will be very hard.
Sure thing! Bows are not my area of expertise in the least (as the arrow position shows, I messed that up).

Ah classes must make it a nightmare. But you got to focus on them, education is more important
It's only petty stuff, when shooting with the three fingered Mediterranean draw you usually shoot with the arrow on the inside of the bow. So, in this case with a right handed archer, the arrow would be on the left side of the bow.
If you are using the Asiatic thumb draw like the huns, or the samurai then the arrow is on the outside of the bow. In this case the right side.
Also normally you'd draw the bow back to a point near your face somewhere (depends on the bow type, a common draw is to have your fingers touching the corner of your mouth, so that they are in the same place every time
But English warbow archers shoot from the ear, and samurai often shot from behind the head with extra long arrows ^^
Like I say it's only petty stuff doesn't really matter and the picture is still brilliant.
And artistic representation does not have to follow reality.Β Β

I don't know why, but that crumbling statue in the background kinda reminds me of The Argonath from Lord of The Rings... Maybe it's 'cause I'm rereading through those books, again...? I'm not too sure.
Still, great work on this! Wonder what she's aiming at with that bow and arrow...

Probably...

I just wanted to let you know: even though I'm just a "silent watcher" who rarely faves or comments, I really appreciate and admire your artworks. As a traditional artist myself, I'm quite amazed how much you can do with traditional tools after all and your works inspire me to make more out of my own art as well.
