You enter your daughter's room, only to find her in bed with a giant, sentient cat. This abominable act is casting shame on your ancient and glorious line up to the 5th generation, and it can be washed away only with blood!Unfortunately, despite your rage and quick reflexes, the disgusting beast is faster, and managed to jump out of the window. The last you see of him, he's running away in the street below without any clothes on, like the animal he is.
There's no other choice, you'll have to put a bounty on that mongrel's head. And ground your daughter.

I like to imagine Angry-Dad had to run out into the hall, peel a sword off the wall, and come sprinting back in. That explains why our intrepid adventurer had time to gather his sword and clothes before being splint in twain. xD
Here's a strange thought: If they can't cross-breed does this make brothels of other species especially popular? On a self-same note, certain diseases would be unlikely to be transmitted where others might be more prevalent. Which means you might develop a strange culture where sexual diseases of certain races found in members not belonging to that race are subject to even more ridicule than normal. Not extremely popular, such things are generally frowned upon, but we can say quite a bunch of people enjoy non-human partners despite of that. In fact, many do it in secret, so while "non-humans only" brothels are rare, each brothel usually has at least couple non-humans working there.
So far I have no plans for STD's that can jump on other species, except from humans to dwarves due to the similarity between the two species. If a human decided to bring a cat or lizard in bed, it'd free of any risks concerning diseases and pregnancies.

There is one problem with a cross-species brothel. Do they find the other species attractive enough?
If they do, then you are right and while it wuld be embarrassing to get an STD usually belonging to another species, chances are most won't transmit to another species. Actually adding to the viabilit of such an establihment.

Indeed, in some of 0laff's other work we see where Lars gets hit on by a feline lady and Enorach, Lars' feline friend, literally shouts at Lars for not jumping at the chance. What works for one species may not quite apply to another. Though, I suspect all the same that there are enough...adventurous...young men (and to a lesser extent women, given the setting) who are more interested in rolling around than if it purrs or not. xD
And yes, zoonotic transmission of viruses is profoundly rare--but you don't want to be be the one-in-a-million guy who managed to bring it across to your species. That would be profoundly embarrassing!

Lol reminds of the first set of scenes from the 2nd Assasin's Creed game. When, Ezio had a night with some noble girl.Β For this guy here it seems he bitten off more than he can chew. He may be able to outrun anything but he now has to go for some time watching his back and it also seems interspecies relationships are greatly frowned upon.Β Hopefully there are those that look past said differences and find harmony with each other no matter the species.
