Description IMPORTANT: This theme is no longer under development by myself. Get this fav.me/d6nnkk8 instead

THIS IS ONLY FOR 3.6

Hello,

eOS is a GNOME Shell theme that gives your GNOME desktop an 'Elementary' feel.

I ported a lot of features from DanRabbit's mockups and actual eOS parts, like: Plank, Pantheon Shell, Wing Panel... My goal is to make the most accurate Elementary theme.

Known Bugs

- None. But I would appreciate it if actual elementary users compared this theme and their eOS to see if something is off. I want to have a 1:1 clone.

Changelog

10/10/2011: 1.2b
20/10/2011: 1.2b2
27/01/2012: 1.2
08/02/2012: 1.2.1
30/05/2012: 1.4
27/11/2012: 1.6

- Fixed for GNOME Shell 3.6.

This depends on: Droid Sans and Open Sans(light).

Ubuntu users can install this and/or a previous version from the Noobslab PPA(not officially supported by myself):

You probably do have a problem in a drivers or something, do you use ATI?
You know I can't fix a problem I can't see, sorry.
Oh, is it the only theme with the problem? do you get that with 'Nord'?

I'm on my newly-fixed computer using the built-in Intel GMA41 graphics.
Nord has the same problem, however any other theme I try works fine. (My GNOME-Shell themes from 3.0.x, half-left's luna theme, SLAVE, etc.)

This is excellent! Exactly what I've been looking for. I especially like that the top segment of the panel with the application name has no icon underlay showing the app's icon. I can't stand that in the default theme.

I love the look of the menus that drop down when you click on the panel icons, especially the look of the calendar.

The only problem I have encountered thus far is that the dock icons are a little blurry. Aside from that, everything is great.

Looks great with Ubuntu
Do you have an idea how to get this working with the gnome-panel package?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

0rAX0 In reply to froggaz [2011-10-09 16:45:41 +0000 UTC]

It is made for GS, gnome-panel(used in Fallback mode) takes the look from GTK3 themes.

Nice work!
But mine is a little buggy in top panel and left dock..
Top panel icons sound, network etc are too close and left dock the icons are blur..
Im using Fedora 15 with gnome 3.02 i think.
See screenshot please. [link]
Elementary viper luna its the same problem in top panel.
Thanks in advance.

0rAX0 In reply to pmlsantos [2011-10-09 14:15:37 +0000 UTC]

Thank you.

Unfortunately, GS 3.2 changed the way padding is done in the panel. If I make it the same as GS 3.0.x I'll get all sort of problems with the most recent version.
Your only option is to wait for Fedora 16, or get an update(if available) for F15.

oh, really nice.
I love the bottom bar being visible only in notification area, the default gs theme drives me crazy when the bottom bar covers the dock.
thank you

Nice work,
I also like the bottom panel.
Can you tell me what settings to use to get that in other themes.
Is it in the summary or notification styles?
