oh my god. good timing, i'm still struggle using sai, and this is a great help! ^^

btw i want to ask something... when you add colors to grayscale (no. 3) is that happen in the same layer or separate layer? coz doing it in same layer would blending the colors, right?

I added in the same layer,but sometimes I add in separated one.
It's up to difficulty of editing.
If It looks taking much time to edit,I prefer new layer. ^^v

I love it! very helpful great job <3 but if i could leave one tip of advice, the left eye should be a tinyyy bit closer to the nose/center of the face. Love the atmosphere keep it up!

Multiple,about 10-15,but I think only 5 layers is enough.
1.Lineart 2.skin color 3.hair color 4.clothing color 5.finishing or decorating color
(I use too many layers because of undecidable mind.orz)

I just want to ask, the site that you gave for the texture, how do you download the files for the texture and brushes? I tried from megaupload and it is a .rar file. Do I need to extract it? thank you so much for making the tutorial. I've always wondered how you paint, they look like pretty water color works.
I got a couple of question.
what tool do you use for the coloring part? is it pen or brush? do you use the blur tool to blend colors? or the brush tool? if it's the brush tool, what's the setting on opacity and hue blending?? And do you color everything on one layer?
