In my opinion, I still think that it's hard to just forget old quarrels. Celestia still sees some hatred in Luna's heart, while Luna believes her punishment was cruel and bestowed upon her by a thoughtless tyrant. That's just my headcanon though. Also tried some new eye stuff, in particular the eyelashes and eyebrows.A collaboration with , who has done an amazing job with coloring and shading

Luna: "You had your party, I want to raise the moon!"
Celestia: "I want all of the party in daylight!!"
Luna: "It's seven pm, the calendar says I have to raise the moon. And I wanna!!!"
Celestia: "Poopy head!!"
Luna: "Am not!"
Celestia: "Am too!"
Luna: "Am not!"
King Cosmos: "Girls, knock it off! Celestia, Luna has to raise the moon, otherwise the balance of nature would be upset."
Luna:
Celestia: "... Fine! But I'm eating all the cookies myself!"
Luna: "You wouldn't....
Celestia: "Watch me!"
Luna: "Daaaaaaaaaaddd!!"
Fast forward a bazillion years, and that old sibling rivalry still lingers...
Well, that's my headcanon for the drawing.

Well yeah, both are extreme and irrelevant views. Maybe celestia is a bit power hungry but doesnt want to admit it, and even though NMM is gone, maybe Celestia is afraid she might one day resurface again.

There have been many stories on this subject, Celestia has been a thoughtless ruler (Specifically a comic called "The Night The Magic Died) and Luna goes without saying, however Celestia's actions could've been seen as very tyrannical.
So yes, I think this headcanon is very true, well done concept!

Well Luna did return as soon as she could, her evil thoughts with her for those thousand years. Solitary confinement did nothing to cure her. In fact, Celestia was dreading the day that she would have to see her sister again, to be held accountable for her actions.
