Description In the previous post I have described one of the ideas that might lie within Broken Mind's plot. It is Papyrus' partial schizophrenia along with multiple personalities disorder (MPD) that result in him seeing his alter-ego as a hallucination of long dead Sans. In today's post I would like to clear some moments about Papyrus.
First, I have been talking to some of my acquaintances about Dusttale and Dustbelief in general and I finally realised what those red bones are for: they are not for the attack where the battle box becomes red and you need to guess the bones' position, these are INSTANT DEATH bones. Papyrus would learn to use them completely sometime later after he killed Undyne. This would also be the time he would be able to summon his bow with bony arrows. Second, some of you may wonder, why does Sans have this slash if Papyrus logically would IMPALE him with a bone in self-defence. Answer on this question is quite simple: Papyrus thinks it is THE HUMAN responsible for Sans' death. Human's weapon? Knife. Third, why does the split personality take the form of Sans? Papyrus doesn't want to accept the fact he murdered Sans and is continuing his wild ride on his own... So with the only truly threatening being Sans, the alter-ego takes his appearance to act as an undead mentor. Fourth, if so, then when did the personality appear? It started appearing momentarily at the moment when Papyrus was unsure whether he has to kill or spare his next victim. Initially it was a voice of another Papyrus in his head, but then with the progression of mental illness, it took the form of Sans with a slash. Fifth, sometimes, when Papyrus is angry of losing to the human in another fight on his journey of dustshed, "Sans" may take the advantage of it and become his main personality during the moment. Sixth, what is the "Sans" alter-ego's behaviour? It seems to be imitating Sans from Papyrus' memory, however, it may drop its mask in times and exclaim, accusing Papyrus of this and that, being very similar to Papyrus himself in such outbursts.
Now, I think I have covered the major questions you, people, would ask me about Papyrus in Broken Mind. Should you have more, you may ask them in the comment section.
See you later.
