The madman was running along the corridor, wounded fatally. His insane twitching eyes were looking towards a new, cataclysmic plan: he was going to overpower the human, by taking all the SIX SOULS, eventually multiplying the powers of his peevish opponent by zero... And then with her soul monsters would tear this timeline into tiny peaces, just like an old dirty draft to start writing a new story, a story of a CLEAN, PURIFIED WORLD, FREE of HUMANS. But as for now he was on his run to the achievement, a run for his life, a final run before ending the human. Sans knew the human was on the loose and and had to act quick or he is grounded to dust, so he kept looking back and trying running even faster... There it is... There almost, the palace... Throne room!

- QUEEN TORIEL, QUEEN TORIEL! - he shouted running in - I... THE HUMAN BEAT ME BAD, UNFORTUNATELY... BUT DON'T YOU WORRY, YOUR MAJESTY, I GAVE THEM A MEMORABLE SHAKE-UP WITH SOME OF MY BEST ATTACKING COMBINATIONS! AND I'VE GOT A NEW, MAGNIFICENT PLAN, MWEH-HEH-HEH, ALTHOUGH RISKY AND VERY RESPONSIBLE TO HANDLE, BUT I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT I'M THE ONE! - he was not realising both he and the human killed almost every monster in the Underground, to his vision turned upsidedown, everyone were alive, just that now they were focused at the problem of the human and were ready to provide Sans with everything required... EVERYTHING HE WAS WAS GOING TO ASK FOR, EVEN THE SOULS.

Sans, after standing for a second, waiting for the imaginary "yes" from the dead queen, continued the wild run for his own survival and salvation. While running he noticed something wrong was happening to him: all his body was starting to melt and crack, he could feel like breaking down into a pile of pitiful dirty ash and his vision was getting more and more blurry with every second. In the final moments before collapsing he managed to reach the SOULS. Now he was ready to face the foe once again, but now with a powerful and reliable backup. Sans was barely holding on his two now, but still wanted for the human to witness his triumphant battle entrance. His smile grew into a wide self-confident grin when he was imagining how everyone would stare at him in awe when he passes her on to the queen for the human race to be burnt down in her raging flames of vengeance for those who have fallen down in the previous war. He laughed... But his laugh had to stop: the enemy was back, right in front of him, breathing frequently, far from the best condition, but still ready to charge an ending blow and put a red crux over his face... Sans rose his head and right after making a crazed grimace, shattered all the glass containers with a huge stack of bones, destroying the barrier standing between him and his final power...

After these words the SOULS have surrounded the skeleton who have lost his mind completely by now, ascending him higher and higher with the blinding light coming out of him eating the reality, warping it. The human held her breath as her pupils have shrunk: she was not expecting for this to happen, she was not expecting for the last monster in the whole Underground to become her worst problem, her worst punishment for the tears spilt on this sinful land of death and sorrow... But it is too late to make up an apology now. No more way to step back and turn around - only forwards, to the accomplishment of the started crime: this is the end to this ever-agonising tale, covered in layers of dust and carrying so many hopeless and empty cries for mercy.
