Description "Mornin' _______!" Barry shouted, as the bell rang from the door you just stepped through. The shop was a music shop. "Barry's Music Shoppe." Said the sign you helped paint that sat above the windows that led all gazes through. The shop was filled with new and old instruments. You knew what most of them were, but some of them you couldn't figure out, or didn't feel like asking.

Barry was behind the counter, standing, adjusting the strings of an old looking viola. He wore a standard fleece and a dirty old apron.

"Good Morning Barry." You smiled, throwing your jacket on the cello that lay against the wall that was now slowly decaying.

"I hear you're moving up the street." You said, not moving your gaze from the shelf that held the numerous amounts of piccolos and flutes.

"Ah Yes," his low and steady voice reached your ears. "The ol' shop has been sick for quite a while. I got none of the money to repair it." He plucked a string, sending a chill through the room in a high G.

"Don't worry, it'll be fine. You're the only one that sells these amazing contractions," you said with a low tone as you plucked a flute from the shelf. "And you can still teach others how to play these, and produce beautiful music."

"Ha! You weren't that way. You didn't even need a teacher. You might, need some help though my friend." Barry joked. You quickly set the flute back, and darted around the face the now smiling Barry. You put your hands on your hips, "Now just because I teach myself by ear does not mean I am bad." You shouted, but you still couldn't help but smile.

Barry ran the shop by himself, but since you were a 'local customer', you helped out. Β He let you use the instruments, and you figured out how to play them before he did. When he gets a new shipping from a place you didn't know, you couldn't wait what new musical things would come out of the wooden crates.

"We got a new shipping today~." Barry grinned at you. The smile you already had, had grown even bigger. "Where?!"

"Office." Barry smirked, nodding his head toward the doorway behind him that lead to the lounge, or the room he calls, 'His office.'

You ran past him into the newly lit room, and saw the wooden crates sitting in the middle of the room. You pulled up a stool and tear the top of the crate off. The dust spiraled around the room, making you cough and gag. When Barry entered the room, he too did the same.

"I wonder what is in here."
Barry knelt down next to you and watched, when the bell rang.

Barry got up and walked out, you didn't care of the customer, more of what was inside to box. You wondered what the crate contained; there was a wide chance it would have some instruments that you already knew, or things you wouldn't have dreamt of seeing until now.

You brushed off the dust and scooped out the stuffing that was sued to keep the contents safe.

When you looked in, your eyes widened and a sparkled went through your vision.

It was a violin, but not just any violin, but a Russian Violin. It was a dark violet, and had black designs all over. You took the bow out and other supplies. The bow was the same color and the horse string was black. Nothing like you had ever seen.

You dreamt of how it would sound, how beautiful the music would be.

"Ah, just a moment sir." Barry walked into the room, and saw what you were holding. "Beautiful."

You held the magnificent violin in your gentle hands.

"But I'm afraid that is for a customer."

That's when your heart sank.

"Do you want to bring it out to 'em?" He smiled, trying to lift your spirits.

You sighed, holding onto the violin tightly, for this might be the last time your hold it.

You walked out into the main room, Barry took his place back behind the counter, and you walked in front of the customer. You were completely shocked when your gaze was the same height as the customer's. He was a boy, that was obviously rich, by the clothes that he wore and the cane and hat that he fashioned. His expression was blank, and boring. To him, you were probably just a piece of trash. All you wore was a dark blouse and green corset, plus a brown skirt that reached to your knees. Β A piece of trash indeed.

You winced and held the violin and bow up.

A taller figure stepped forward from behind the boy, and gestured for you to give him the contraction.

At first you hesitated and wondered if the violin would be cared for and in the right hands. But you realized it wasn't your choice and lifted the violin up to the man wearing a butler's outfit's reach.

"Wait." The boy said, still starring at you with cold eyes.

"Can you play?"

"Why of course." You stated with confidence. The violin was still in your grasp, and the butler's hands were extended towards you, but waiting for his master's words.

"Play then." He demanded.

You glared at him, then sighed and handed the violin to the gloved hands.

"I do not play instruments that do not belong to me." You said.

Barry was going to say something, then he realized that you did basically own the shop as well, with the instruments that you helped acquire and tune.
The expression on the boy's face hardened.

"I see, a lady who respects inanimate objects rather then living beings."

"At least they do not talk back."

An awkward silence circled the room. The boy's gaze on filled with annoyance and hatred.

"Sebastian. We're leaving." The boy turned and headed out the door.
"Yes, my lord." The butler smiled at you and held the violin close to his side. He paid Barry and stood in the doorway, "Thank you for your time." And they left.
