Description
You could hear nothing but crackling of fires around you. You laid there in your bright uniform with no intention to get up. The world around you was burning. Your family was lost. The circus was lost. You were down in the courtyard of their last destination, beaten and broken. You were covered in scrapes, but were only being held down by a fallen support beam from one of the tents.

You struggled to open your eyes and were only rewarded by the sight of the entire funland being set aflame. In the distance, you could even make out the corpses of those who had performed with you.

You closed your eyes, convinced that death was ready to take you. You laid defenseless there because you had finally given up. But no. Minutes passed and you still had not died. And you could hear something above the crackling of the fires. It was rough and rocky, like stones were being tossed this way and that.

You dared to open your eyes yet again, and you could only make out the silhouettes of a handful of people you didn't recognize, lit up against the bright orange and red lights. Your strength had failed you again as you were taken under, but, before your world turned to black, you could hear a woman scream from what was somewhat close to you. "Joker! I found a survivor!"
