Uh... no, it's not. As of S2E3 (Lesson Zero), her magic changed to the color of her cutie mark.

When I first came to draw Twilights magic, I googled it and it looked red in the pictures. I looked it up now since some people pointed it out, and it's supposed to be a dark purple. Gonna use that in the future, though it clearly does not look like her eye color. (Also note that her magic color is different in Season 1)

As of Season 2, Twi's magic is the same color as her cutie mark. I think they decided the purple-on-purple-and-purple made her magic hard to "read".

That sounds convincing, and it works at least for Twilight, Rarity and Cadance. It also tells us that Sweetie Belles cutie mark is gonna be green.

Not necessarily. It's generally either the color of their eyes or cutie mark, whichever provides a better contrast. For example, Twilight, Shining Armor, Cadence, and Celestia use their cutie mark color. Sweetie Belle, Rarity, Luna, and Trixie use eye color. But even then, there are oddities; Vinyl Scratch has a black cutie mark, maroon eyes, and blue magic. Celestia's secretary, Raven, has brown eyes, a black cutie mark, and red magic. There's no absolute rule.
Point being, since Sweetie's magic matches her eyes, her cutie mark color isn't necessarily defined. I suspect her cutie mark will be pink and purple to keep in line with her pastel color scheme.

Square the sides that form the right angle, add them together, then find the square root of that. If you have the length of the hypotenuse and another side, square both, then subtract the side's square from the hypotenuse's square and then find the root of that.
