Phosphora- wants to see the world burn. Was in a chemical accident that left her soaked with chemicals that are forever burning...
Jackal- The Greedy one, who just wants to amass wealth to retire and spend his days drinking, womanizing and living the life he thinks he deserves. His enhanced speed, healing and propensity for manipulating others leads to some tension in the group.
Sever- A complete Whack job with blades that can cut through anything...
Professor Paine- Responsible for bringing these folks together- also secretly responsible for creating some of them... Out for global domination and respect for his scientific achievements.
Wretch- A mangled body who has been turned into a killing machine that doesn't know his own strength. Constant upgrades to his cybernetics lead to some grisly sacrifices and a boy falling deeper into despair and anger...
Trauma- A sadistic, yet graceful fighter who has speed, balance and finesse- even while dealing killing blows.

There are a lot of fire characters out there, but Phosphora's resemblance to a candle helps her stand out. The messiness of the wax and her beady eyes are also pleasantly subtle ways to make her visually unsettling.Β
Professor Paine is rather beautifully Silver Age in nature. On top of his colorful name, his robotic suit, exhaust pipes, power cords, shriveled hand, toxic cloud, domed helmet, sunken eyes, and gleefully evil smile all really sell him as an old school baddie.Β
Trauma's unusual color scheme of white, blue, and brown really help sell her as a graceful, exotic figure. I love her mask, the weird eyes, the slicked back hair, the numerous accessories, the dress and opera gloves, and the knife fingers. Plus the logo on her forehead. They all play really well with her character concept.
