I don't believe I've ever properly posted this here. Tumblr users may remember this from a while ago.
This was a "sketch" (originally..I stopped calling it that a long time ago XD ) from July/June of last year when I was at a 2-week pre-college art program. I wasn't really the most talkative or social, so when I had some free time I did this. ^w^ It was a challenge to do a full drawing in ink and to use a slightly more realistic style. I decided to finish it and touch it up a bit with some Copics and a white gel pen so I can finally post it here.
Materials- Prismacolor/Faber-Castell pens, 11x14 in white sketch paper, cool gray Copics, white gel pen; sketched in pencil
Time- Upwards of 7 hours

Pens??? No, this is definitely not a sketch, this is VERY good. I love the detail and how you've blurred everything except the face. The thumbnail looked nice, but it's quite impressive in full size.

I love the wrinkles around the eyes and the textures on the beak.

Oh but yea no kidding. I think I usually get stuck with the detailing and different shading and detailing methods, so I just leave it as is.
I have quite a lot of pen sketches but none in this much detail. I should put them up...
