You have no idea how much I wanted to post this, really...
...Lol, I know you don't cause you probably don't know why I restrained myself!
So...I drew this back in....November? Maybe? Somewhere around then! 
So I waited for the results, and when they finally came in just a couple days ago (it's a really big competition)...
...It didn't win anything.
...*sigh* So, sparing you the details of my frustration, I'll just continue on and say how much I am FREAKING proud of this piece! Really, this one of my first complete realism pieces of the time, and I'm still so happy with how it came out! 
...Anyway, I have...actually surprisingly little else to say about this, considering how pleased I am with this, soo...

This is really nice, when I saw this piece I was just like *-*. What I love is that you've contrasted cold and warm colours from the dragon and from the human/tree, this gives it a really nice atmosphere in itself, the concept of this piece is nice too, very simple but has a strong impact. I love you you've lightly coloured the background but not enough to lose the foreground, I love this technique, it makes it feel like there's depth but not enough to lose the concept of the piece.
Okay, so I've given 4 1/2 stars for vision because:
The contrast of the strong foreground to the simple background is amazing, It's very nice.
I've given 4 stars for originality because:
The piece is very nice and such a nice concept, but dragon's are popular among digital artists.
I've given 4 1/2 stars for Technique because:
The dragon and the human/tree contrast eachother with the light shades of red and blue among them, this makes it even better to look at.
I've given 5 stars for impact because:

that is a very good drawing and its like if you just saw it you will say "wow!thats AMASING!" plus, it can be shone on as a wallpapaer and also you thefently can be amased. as for the dragon, it looks more like a spirit than a real thing. I also persantly love dragons, literly just love them! and also it look like an ice dragon (my most favorte species of them) and the wings! YES THE WINGS! are so astonishing if just look at them. just look at them for a second,and the texture is like OH MY GOSH! and whith it is that its that the dragon is the winter and the human is the fall! yes I may start to sound like a russian and beleve me that this is AWSOMEST THING EVER!

The colours here are great, blended enough for it to change nicely but done so that you can still see the "lines" properly and see the muscles and such.

I like how it's red where the girl is, and fades out to be somewhat blueish-gray on the rest of the picture~ c':
I actually like there to be no background, too.
