You have no idea how much I wanted to post this, really...
...Lol, I know you don't cause you probably don't know why I restrained myself!
So...I drew this back in....November? Maybe? Somewhere around then! 
So I waited for the results, and when they finally came in just a couple days ago (it's a really big competition)...
...It didn't win anything.
...*sigh* So, sparing you the details of my frustration, I'll just continue on and say how much I am FREAKING proud of this piece! Really, this one of my first complete realism pieces of the time, and I'm still so happy with how it came out! 
...Anyway, I have...actually surprisingly little else to say about this, considering how pleased I am with this, soo...

Wow, this is pretty awesome! I love the white atmosphere and how it makes the scene look kinda surreal, like a dream or better, a daydream. Actually, at first I got the impression that the girl was imagining the dragon, but the more I look at it, the more it seems like its the dragon dreaming of the girl and the tree, since the dragon's figure is the most defined while everything else is kinda blurry and unreal. Well, I guess they're both meant to be real, but that was just my own interpretation.
Oh, and I think you did a great job on the dragon's anatomy. I especially love the back legs and the way the wings connect to the front legs. And the wing anatomy is so good, I can actually imagine the wings moving, folding, extending, flapping and stuff. So seriously, great job!

Hmm...I think how I was imangining it when I was drawing it was that the girl was lonely and sad, had no where to be go and be loved...and then a dragon came as her protector. I believe that was what my thoughts were when drawing this! 
...you just made me look at this piece in a whole different way...

Pray tell, how the heck did this not win anything? IT'S FREAKING AWESOME!!! I love how small the person looks, and how powerful the dragon is. It's so cool that you can see the muscle in all the right places in the body. The color change is also brilliant.
