Description
Dream place in Alaska, looking very much like the coastal areas in the Southeast (of Alaska) or Kodiak island where I lived for awhile. Abundant wildlife, lush vegetation, near zero population, and clear waters.....make for some of the most gorgeous scenery anywhere in the world. If I could be anywhere, I would be "here", in that little A-Frame, high on the hill!! I have explored a lot of the wilds of Alaska, where I have lived for 39 years.COPYRIGHT NOTICE

Thank you so very much! This one might be MY favorite! I look at it now and see things I would like to do differently, but it gives me a such a feeling of serene calm the way it is. Many, many hours in this one and over a year to complete.

It WAS a LOT of hours....but wasn't straight through....I'd work on it intensly for days....and then take a break....and that did indeed go on over a period of 8 months.
I'm very picky when it comes to my landscapes with Bryce....It would take me even longer now, because I have rt. hand/arm problems and have to do most of it left-handed (which I'm learning to do)....and I've always been rt.-handed! Thanks so much...really appreciate your comment!

This is beautiful, but is it supposed to look like the waterfall spouts from the top of that tree? Maybe it's just me.

Thanks so much! Don't know if it's just you or not! But.....the waterfall is spilling out over and through the trees.....as happens here in Alaska with heavy glacier melt.....or rainfall!
Thanks so much for visiting and viewing...very much appreciated!

Thank you so much! Really sorry it took me so long to thank you! I'm really slow now 'cause of my arm. I'm happy you liked this one, because I have a ton of hours in it, and it's one of the most favorite of the images I have done.

Near zero population....sounds like my kind of place. New Hampshire is sooooo infiltrated with city folk now. I miss the way NH was when I was a kid.

Sounds like the way that...... I miss how Alaska was when I first got here in 1963! Yes.....this is my dream place.......took me over 8 months to complete this Bryce image, so I happy you like it - and it is the reason I responded to your comment - it's also one of my favorite - of my images.

It's supposed to cool down some by the end of this week, so hope to start dictating some of the poetry that I've had people bug me to put in a book! (I'ts all hand-written) Thanks for asking!

Thank you so much for adding it to your !! No......no photos were used in this....It was rendered in Bryce 5, the waterfall was done in Bryce 5, using a terrain I painted in the terrain editor, and then I looked at a tiny pic to get an idea to paint the waterfall texture, which I did in Photopaint. Most of the trees were done in Bryce by me, but added a few, in Painter. No photos were imported into Bryce.....Sky is mine, all done in Bryce. I worked on this one off and on over a period of 8 months, before I got it like I wanted it!! It drove me nuts until I did!! LOL Thanks so much for stopping by my gallery!!!
