Description
StrippedGraphite on Illustration board
When finished 40” x 30”
This part 8” x 8”
This is my third drawing in this series the first two can be seen on my gallery page “Monolithic” and “Fragile”
Like the first two these Wips are a little different in that I show small finished areas which come together when completed. This is the first time in this sires where I drew my own eye, I used a mirror for this which really lets me look so much closer than any photo could. There will be five main subjects within this drawing (two eyes, roots, clouds and a main center which I am still working out the concept)

I still keep feeling like the eye just going to come alive or start moving or something. Even now, I marvel at you mesmerizing artwork. It goes without saying a second time (If even a first.) that you have far more talent than I have ever seen.

I admire your skill in fine detail. It sure does take patience to sit and draw something to this degree. I respect you very much as an artist.

Not on this, at times I do use a grid or more like small hash marks, grids tend to get in the way and make the drawing kind of stiff so I rarely use it. At time as in the drawing Name of the Father it was such a difficult pose I had to, thanks

this is amazing. i just did my first graphite drawing, and i can really appreciate how much time and effort this must have taken. i really love it. have one question though. how do you get your tiny white details? thats one technique i wasn't taught.... :/
obviously you would be the best person to ask, haha

ok how in the world do you draw so realistically? I can not imagine how to get a drawing to look so realistic.

This is incredible.. i mean i thought I went into detail when I drew eyes. The only criticism (if it's even that) i have is the eyebrow looks a little.. hm whats the word.. cartoony? (not sure if thats the right word) but I mean not overly it still looks fantastic and thats the part I always have trouble with is the hair, especially around the eye
Anyways, fantastic work, and i mean all of it, your gallery is stunning!

this might sound horrible, but it looks so much like a picture I would have to look at the actual drawing to ever believe that you actually drew that, and didn't tag a photo as a drawing to get attention ... I don't see any pencil marks ... that's the thing ...
take that as a backhanded compliment I suppose ...
which if you really did draw it, than you can take it as a compliment! It's so good I didn't believe you drew it!
if you didn't ... well ... take it as YOUR EXPOSED I hope it's a drawing ...

This is breath taking, I am an artist.... and I can say in confidence that I draw fairly well, but this blows me out of the water. I feel like I draw stick figures after seeing your work. Amazing, how life like this is...

This is amazing. All the shading and ever wrinkle in the skin is captured perfectly. Even the eybrows are a sight to behold, and the eye itself, exquisite. How did you ever get those white highlights to turn out so bright for the eyelashes and eyebrows? I can never keep my highlights pure white
