Description
StrippedGraphite on Illustration board
When finished 40” x 30”
This part 8” x 8”
This is my third drawing in this series the first two can be seen on my gallery page “Monolithic” and “Fragile”
Like the first two these Wips are a little different in that I show small finished areas which come together when completed. This is the first time in this sires where I drew my own eye, I used a mirror for this which really lets me look so much closer than any photo could. There will be five main subjects within this drawing (two eyes, roots, clouds and a main center which I am still working out the concept)

I'd be grateful if I'd be as good as you someday. I suppose that'd take about 35 more years though...
That's incredible. I love all the detail you put into your drawings!

I can see you are even able to get more details in there when you draw from real life. Another great piece of art Nimra Keep inspiring me

Drawing from life is a luxury that I don’t get to do often, but when I do I jump at the chance. ThanX

It's painful what a terrible artist I am in comparison to you. - That's really the closest I've been able to come to expressing just how amazing your work is.

Some years ago, if you drew like this, you would have been burnt at the stake. It's too good.

I’m not sure of your question? I used the size of the iris for measuring everything in was my “constant”

I was just wondering if you used a photo to get the basic outline and then did all the filling in with the life image...but wow, I guess not. You amaze me more and more every day. =

I will never ever understand the wonders you can make with your own two hands, a brilliant mind, paper and some pencils. Words really arent' quite enough to describe what you can do.
The details, just so accurate, but perfect. You, Armin, haver really achieved perfection, have gone as far as anyone could go, in what concerns drawing, you are the best. Not only out of the perfect traces you manage, but the imagination you have and this eye you draw here. It really can make miracles happen.
Anyone who sees your drawings could honestly see, that you don't do it for the money but for something that really matters much more. And that would be self appraisal and just because I know the fact that you love and enjoy doing this.
I really admire your passion for art and for making us see that there is much more to it.
Thank you, Armin.

One of the things that I have a huge amount of respect for is your ability to observe every single minuscule detail. And then of course, the patience to render all of them. Amazing! Truly an anthropologistic (is that a word? LOL!) artist! But then again, artists are indeed anthropologists. Through art, we tell what is important to us.
Huge respect for your work, as always.

how do you make those light-colored lines? do you go over those areas with a minuscule eraser afterwards? or do you just leave it blank as you shade the rest?
