When I first saw this, I thought you must've composited several photographs to produce it. That it's a pencil drawing makes it simply a stunning act of virtuosity. I always say, "if you think you've seen it all, live another day", and this artwork is testament to that principle.

This has to be one of your masterpieces. I don't dare trying to estimate how long it took you to draw it.

And then you sold it! It must have torn your heart apart, but I trust you are much wealthier now...

Anyway, you made your point with this. If all artists were to express their convictions with such a talent, a lot more people would pay attention.

It grew on me, when I first finished it I thought was fine not great but I was happy with it. When I seen it in few exhibits it became better with age, not all drawings do this. By the time I sold it, it was one of my favorites but that’s what I do I sell art, and the collector the bought it is very important.

Thank you

Armin

PS None of my concern, but I think “Waxing & Waning” is worth more than $5000.

a striking work..not just technically, but the many meanings it conveys....I could project concerns about war, environmental destruction...but...strangely,for all the bleakness[and this is just my interpretation]...to me,the bird seen through old and weary eyes...seems to hint at the possibility of transformation, even reincarnation...a very intriguing piece, something to ponder over...

This is amazing, really. Probably the best piece of work i've seen on this site. I looked at this piece of art (i was going to say drawing, but that word seems so understated) for probably half an hour, and it seems i'm finding new things every minute.
At first i was afraid to comment, thinking you would disregard my comment and also afraid i had nothing to say, but i just wanted to tell you this - i am stunned. I hope to one day be as amazing an artist as you are, and this piece has inspired me to pick up my pencils and try y damest to learn to draw. Though i fear I'll never be this good.

Once again, amazing. Truly inspirational and magnificent.

Lauryn thank you so much of the good words; never hesitate to state your feeling to anyone at DA, sure you might not get a response but they all read the words. Personal I am always honored to have some take the time and responds to my work. If you have the passion and find the right artistic language the sky is the limit for you it’s a hell of a lot of work but worth it in the long run. Take care my friend. Armin

It must have been to horrible for words to witness such things there is only two ways for humanity to make this world better. Either convert 100% of the world to buddhists or a complete erradication of mankind -_- i really like your drawing, it looks so realistic with the shading, the details, the clouds. it's like the drawing is talking to me

I like this work, very realistic. And it content, beyond the symbolic thing, is really hard. But, this way it's the reality; hard and difficult to recognize. A great concept, certainly.

although you can immitate drawings like messages that funnel through our optic nerve, i think you show your true poetic and compisitional value in this piece. And i hope people see that.
you can truly tell emotion through someone's eyes, and you've captured this beautifully.
Have a good day!

Amazingly rendered & full of meaning. I like that, unlike other artists, you have chosen a quieter route, as opposed to the "loud, propagandist" route. It makes people think as opposed to just getting them worked up.

"When all is said and done and it hangs on a gallery wall the only hint to “my truth’ is its title “Stripped” and hopefully brings a moment of interest and contemplation to the viewer."

I'm totally sure of that, I must say this one of the most haunting pieces I've seen on dA. At first I didn't want to read your "artist's comment" to figure out my own meaning. The first thing that came to my mind was the sense of self-questioning, introspection... then seeing it again I noticed the body-like roots, and went to read your comment hehehehe.

I wish I could see this in person!!!

I see more and more in the work myself, the subconscious is a powerful tool, I find I delve into that very realm with increasing frequency, thanks for the good words.
