stunning, symbolic work... both artistically and conceptually. It does make one frustrated, and sometime hopeless, to see the history repeat itself over and over again... I was working at a hospital in Africa recently and often found it difficult. But one cannot help by simply feeling sorry for those less fortunate... by taking actions, however, we can save the world. I think.

Amazing image, as all your works are. The subtlety and depth in the art is both fascinating and intriguing - you can't help but try and make a connection. I love the unseen face on one eye is turned away from the light slightly as if avoiding it, and how the other seems so open to it.

The symbolism in this just speaks volumes and permits the viewer to read the image in many different ways, although the raven, skulls and entangled roots really give the image a prescence of a very dark sinister side.

Dark certainly but the very white tops of the roots speak of just cut, they will grow again and someday we might even learn from our mistakes.
