So many people have these semi-professional cameras and all they wanna do is use them as a point-and-shoot. I was the same way too until I had my first photography class. It's amazing how the look and the feel of a picture can changed based on ISO, white balance, aperture, shutter speed, and light (or lack thereof).

I've had a work-shadow this season at the horse track and at first he went from firing automatic to firing manual and he was blown away by the complexity and the huge doors it opens creativity-wise once you learn how to actually use the machine. Β

For me it felt like once I learned how to use a camera manually it was like this giant door opened up. Did he use a trigger system yet to get shots of the horses when they finish the race? Just curious because high speed photography is so much fun!
