Description
One of my New Year's resolutions is to start drawing more humans and getting more comfortable doing such. I started this a while ago and decided to post it just to show that I'm not dead. The guy is yet another human character from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise I've come to like very much. has done an amazing job of not only fleshing him out but updating him so he could fit into the 2003 TMNT series (which is my personal favorite). Vernon's look was never quite consistent in the 80s show (which is where he originally hails from), so this is my attempt at giving him one as well as experimenting with different expressions.Alicia, the girl, is someone who eventually becomes very a important person in his life. She's Cakeless' OFC.

I, for one, am amazed to hear that there were issues with 1987's animation LOL. Side note: Nothing will beat the time Michelangelo appeared with pies because the animators thought by "pizza pies" they just meant pies. And he does call them pizzas in the scene IIRC: i0.wp.com/www.adventuresinpoorβ¦
Oh and for people unfamiliar with Alicia, I will note she's not a love interest for him. I realize out of context that might be what it seems like to people LOL.

Someone really needs to make a blog or something featuring animation mistakes from the show. OMG the show should've totally had them obsessed with pie.

Vernon and Alicia! It's awesome to see them here. I like how you've drawn their faces, especially when it comes to 3/4 views. Those views are often hard to illustrate LOL, but I think you did an awesome job here!

Oh yes, that is true. Getting the lips and the space between them and the nose right is vital or else them humans end up looking mutated. I know I've drawn humans that looked like mutated monkeys LOL. I think you've got the profile pics of Vernon and Alicia down pat! Which reminds me, I wanted to say that I really dig Vernon with facial hair. He makes it look good.

Mine's used to look like clowns. xD Thank you, I'm glad you like his new look! I enjoy experimenting with characters' appearances like that, especially since they barely ever change or update their looks in canon.

I meant more like in general cartoon characters rarely if ever change their clothes, hairstyles, etc. I think in one episode Vernon dressed up for Halloween and another one where we saw him dressed down, but that was it. But I do get why that's a thing. That's where we fans come in.
