Description Remember the Hughes Devastator from Crimson skies? The standard fighter you start out with basically? Well I liked the design so much I tried to update it for the next decade. Has a lot of P-51 elements to it.

Really have to give you props on this. The addition of the P-51 cockpit really makes an awesome airplane even better.

The best fighter in Crimson skies IMY. Used only this and Bloodhound (Briefly) thorough the game.

It's the most balanced fighter yes but I didn't use it for every mission. If you know how to tweek hex code (like I did at one point), you could mess around with the aircraft files and make yourself a real killer. I put a .70 rear turret in a Firebrand and gave it max armor and engines. I didn't like the Bloodhound because it carried too light of armaments.

Personally didn't liked the Firebrand. A bit sluggish.  Bloodhounds armaments my be lacking but its agility is top notch. Personally prefer that.

I can see a lot elements of the Shinden , some P-38, some P-47. the only P-51 elements that I see is the frond most wing it looks like the tail wing on the P-51 but this is one hell of a great looking aircraft

No P-38 or P-47 parts. Most of it is originally from a Devastator model I found for flightsim but I stretched it out. Lower wings are from a XP-57 Black Bullet, inverted. Landing gear from Shinden, propeller blades from a Zero. Cockpit and canopy from P-51 and so is the paint job but the nose art is something I found then later named.

Another beautiful treatment of a Crimson Sky plane.

This made my day. I especially like the name.
Also, the front gear looks inspired from the F18 and the ladder from an A10.

You have a very sharp eye. You are correct on both counts. I think I DID get the front gear from an F-18. Rear from a Shinden and the ladder may have been from an A-10 model but I do not quite remember. The coloring is from a P-51.

Heh, missed the Kyūshū J7W connection, probably because it was so obvious. Anyway, I always wondered what kind of landing gear would most of these aircraft have, because they are usually shown based on airships.

I knew there was something wrong in my comment the moment I posted it: the front gear looks more like that from the B1 Lancer, placed backwards.
Duh.
