I got to see the Total Eclipse this week and it was a surreal experience. My brother is an amateur astronomer so he had a massive telescope setup. I'll post other images later this week.Quote from Brother:

About 20 bracketed frames, quick stack, with a high-pass filter. Not too shabby, shows lots of structure in the corona. Also, Regulus is off to the left side.
The streamers were very visible with the naked eye. I did not get that dark, but some stars were visible. I did not see the chronosphere at C2, but it was bright red along the edge at C3.

The inner corona is over exposed but you got more of the outer corona than I did.

my brother also got some red prominences in other shots but hasn't shared them with me yet. It was soooooo wierd. The temp dropped 10 degrees, light got all yellow and odd, then there was a 360' sunset and then THIS.

It's a fantastic experience; life changing in some ways. I wish there was more time to capture all of it. Memories fade over time.

In 7 years there will be another Total Eclipse going through Texas and then NE. It will be only 30 miles from where I live and my cousin has a farm that is in the path of Totality so we will be making a big deal of it then. Next time it will last twice as long because the shadow will be twice as big.

Really? Totality will be longer on this one in 2024? Oh I'm definitely getting on board that train.
