Okay, so this is a Batman OC, and Poison Ivy's big ep in BTAS was called "Pretty Poison," right? Only this is an amphibious shark-woman, and "poisson" means fish in French, but it kind of looks like "poison" and she's sitting on a barrel of toxic waste so . . . yeah, I'm gonna go hang my head in shame now.Anyway. This is the only piece I managed to work on while I was in my withdrawal period, and it's definitely a . . . shall we say a deviation from my usual stuff? I stink at decorative and design work, so I took some inspiration from Alphonse Mucha and set out to try and make a pretty art-nouveau-style piece on the line of my Riddler portrait. First time I've tried digital tablet painting or a decorative border.
Ironically, I think I succeeded in one area much too well. Maw is persistently pretty in this, I think; she doesn't look nearly bestial enough for my tastes. I received the portrait when I was already mostly done with this, but ~bubbi105 's depiction helped me decide on the use of a floating background; the inspiration is very much appreciated.Maw (c) me

This looks lovely and if I didn't know Maw until now, I would assume she was something far more elegant and serene than she actually is 
I love the colours here, especially that sea. It all looks very beautiful and soft. My only recommendation for the future is work at a higher res and then resize and use a pen tool or whatever equivalent GIMP has because the swirls really need to be crisp and sharp even if everything else is soft. You need them as neat as possible.
But frankly I don't think the claims that this is fail that you were telling me were juustified - this is lovely and a damn good first attempt at this style.

Yay, concrit! And thank you. *bows* Line work is my eternal nemesis; I just can't seem to get as clean, straight, crisp lines out of the tablet, for some reason, and it shows here. Thanks for the feedback! I'll try the frame on a higher resolution next time if it doesn't kill my computer.

I kinda like it. It seems to show a softer side of Maw or, since Valentine's is just around the corner, perhaps we're getting a perspective shot from a secret admirer of hers?

Welcome! Hey, it's Gotham, anything can happen! Maybe a lower level mutant tried to be a villain, but found he didn't like it and decided to instead live a relatively easy life of being a paparazzi for the villainesses but began to fall in love with Maw? Heck, it could even be a normal human guy trying to work on his degree in photography or something and it was love at first sight for him with Maw.
*opens mouth to say more, then closes it, gulps, opens it again* That is a very big frying pan you have there.

Because Annie wants your attention off of her for as long as possible and so might actually be feeding the bunnies herself? Also, just imagine Maw's reactions when the guy tries to confess to her!
