Oh, ReBoot. How fond I am of you, dated as your animation may be. This old cartoon mops the floor with many of the cartoons made for kids nowadays. Seriously. If you've never watched it, look it up, watch it, love it. Repeat.
When I was little, Bob was my favorite character. I still love him, but rewatching the episodes on the DVD set a couple of years ago reminded me of just how adorable Enzo is (was . . .) . His story arch throughout Seasons 1-2 and, most famously, season three, make him one of the best characters (animated or not) to ever tell a story.
Putting it all together and watching how his story plays out makes me realize how underrated he was in my initial viewings as a dopey child.
I mean, just, wow. His story. His life. So much spunk and spirit and so much tragic irony and cruel twists of fate.
So much awesomeness awaiting in maturity ( yah, Matrix fangirl here). I couldn't have written it better myself.
I should point out I drew this as the original Enzo, not the "backup" version. Fans know what I'm talking about.
Sorry, but I consider that notion to be the only misstep in the genius storytelling of Season 3. Just. Meh. It took away from the dramatic impact of his story, kinda like a "Oh, but don't worry, you can try again and you're entire life story is instantly not important" -sort of way.
Don't even get me started on the season four movies. Bad fanfiction is the best way I feel about it. Blehhh.
So if you're hoping for a Daemon fanart, please continue onward. It's not happening.
