Something a little bit different. I'm feeling a bit lost at the moment, a lot on my plate blah blah blah - I just wanted to draw something and enjoy it.
When I finish a piece to put on my site it's a huge relief. Not because I feel as though I should update my site, but it's more of a release that I get once something is drawn. Hense the simplicity of this piece!
Looking back at some older pieces, I was inspired to do something simple, and nothing's more simple than black and white. I also love just doing line art. Colour is important, but something can be just as powerful in black and white, if not more (Sin City!).
This piece was done purely in Photoshop , a nice round brush and some simple drawing. The view point, I must admit, was a little bit borrowed from the fantastic Akira (see inspiration file on my site ).

that black goo must be really non hygienic.. we all wander through it from time to time ... wonder if anyone cleans it after we get out : )

A very well and simple presentation of your creativity and own style of meaning nad art. The simple tones of black and white, combined with the clean and crisp character model work excellently and you've shown some good improvements in your art as well. Although it's simple, there's alot of energy in the character and simple effects of the liquid he's surrounded in, giving off some great hidden or deeper meaning in the design.
Great job, keep it up.

I really like this a lot. I'm a big fan of solid black and white... and with his arm also in the blackness, it's less clear what exactly this stuff is. Water? Some sort of black ooze? It's hard to tell if it's flat or curling around him.
Quite interesting for such a simple piece.

No, there's just lots of changes currently! Job, possible move, christmas, birthdays, planning holidays...
Kind of looking forward to it all being over, but equally I need lots of time to sort them out!
