I've wanted to make this pic for a while now ever since the release of Generation VII of Pokémon. Here we have a pic with the homunculus Envy from Fullmetal Alchemist with the notoriously mysterious Pokémon, Mimikyu. After reading stories revolving around this Pokémon it made me interested in making a drawing that had these two together. These two can relate with one another in regards to their jealousy, their sorrow, and their persistence to hiding their true identities. However, in the latter's case, people who know Envy have seen his true form both the manga/Brotherhood series and the 2003 anime, but people still don't know what Mimikyu really looks like under it's Pikachu costume. It's rather fascinating, and I guess you can say that in this pic, Envy is also fascinated with this Pokémon. The entire premise being the fact that Envy is able to relate with Mimikyu's situation and feels attached to it, whereas Mimikyu discovered someone who can understand it's own woes thus creating a sentimental atmosphere.
