Thanks! I don't recall any reference in the series, actually, my model depicts the cockpit for the movie version and not the TV version. This are the best references that I can point you at, they are actually what I used to model it.

Thanks for the links! I was sure there were a few shots of the interiors of the VF1's in the first few episodes... but I'll have to watch them again to find out... such is my suffering for art!
I really liked DYRL, the animation was so much better, and I'm just that shallow!
