holy crap... well, I guess I lost that competition . At first I didn't see it... then after some starting BAMMO. You should submit a higher res or something, since it's a bit hard to stare at.

well, it has the same resolution as the original ASCII text, unfortunately dA does not allow posting ASCII as a text.

How do you doublefuse?
Great stereogram btw!

3Dimka In reply to myrorostudio [2008-04-16 19:34:17 +0000 UTC]

It's easier to show than to explain

Normal fusion:
1 2 3 4 5 6 _
_ 1 2 3 4 5 6

double fusion
1 2 3 4 5 6 _ _
_ _ 1 2 3 4 5 6

omg.......i can see two separate images if i focus differently......dunno if thats supposed to happen, but it is. first time ever having that happen when i look at a stereogram.

3Dimka In reply to ellysdoghouse [2008-04-15 18:44:05 +0000 UTC]

right, when you "doublefuse" a stereogram it looks differently, especially in a narrow-parallax stereogram like this one.

The last one on your LJ reminds me of the first stereogram I ever saw, years and years ago ^^ I liked the snowy one, that was very good!

There are old and new stereograms in the LJ post, and the last one with the pyramids I made just yesterday.

Lol the pyramids one I saw years ago was in a magazine at my primary school; it was a picture made up of pyramids, but when you went cross-eyed you saw a pyramid, a camel and a palm tree. I loved it so much, because it was the first one I'd ever come across, and I was the only one who could actually see anything. When I returned the magazine, I never found another image like it until a good 5 or 6 years later. ^^

A camel? Maybe a sphinx? This one - [link] ?

smilie-terrorist In reply to 3Dimka [2008-04-15 07:21:43 +0000 UTC]

Nope, it was red, orange and yellow... It was from a "where's wally" magazine years and years ago, haha. XD

Great! I made an ASCII stereogram generator, it's online tool so I'll give you a link when I publish it in the internet so that you can try if you want to.

I checked on the link you provided with the guide on how to make 2d into 3d and it is doable. I will learn from that when you create an ASCII stereogram generator i will check it out as well. But i think i can muster something up from ascii, i will try something.
