Description
Photoshop of pencil outline of my 3D model...Based on a obscure Japanese video game called "Raystrom" [link] [link]
Base 3D model made with Autodesk inventor
Render effect use vector trace and itious4 tablet
For those who know the reference or played "shmup". I will be doing the render of R-GRAY 02 ASAP. If I am not dead in the plane crash.

I used to make a lot of spacecraft in 3D programs. That sort of died off when I got tired of dealing with Google Sketchup, though. Now, I use Inventor as well and I am trying to learn Blender (for license reasons).

I used inventor for a while, the limitation is too inconvenient. Blender has too much learning curve, I just decide to go 2D. Mainly because I want to draw humans, 3D human model is very hard to make and very hard to get right.

it's really simple design idea, what I have in mind is combing the R-Gray 01 Fuselage with the wing parts of the GNR-010 0 Raiser along with some design features of the ADF-01 Falken.

I think its better to not flat out address the attribute, because you never know how things will work out, Those could be used as reference material, but not a part scavenge thing. As you may notice three of them have very distinct styles, that aloe will make them hard to integrate. And and and and and, how someone think Rgray have an impressive fuselageΒ

Β Im not saying its bad idea, Im saying its ok to be inspired by those reference, but not meant to throw different parts together, because all three of them uses different design concept that cant be used interchangeably. I mean the Rgray design has a very minimal fuselage and exaggerated everything elseΒ Β

Well using those image as reference what I had in mind, mate. it's not like I'm going to take some model kit of thoseΒ fighter craft and kit bash them. And of course there going to be some minor design changes here and there to make all work. And I know that the R-Gray's fuselage is minimal in design, but it's perfect for what I'm going for. because inspiration for the whole design was base on this insaneΒ hybrid design of a Tie Interceptor and X-Wing star fighter:Β i37.photobucket.com/albums/e99β¦

Any way I will keep that in mind, I may not do it as request but you may be able to find something I do along that line, yes you can have a Xwing Twing because they are very close related design concept.

Those are some of the best game ever made, Ray series is my fav shmup. I really want to work on illustration of LAY from Rayforce, but I already have something on hand so I cannot predict when its going to be done, also my schedule is quite unforgiving.

Played Raystorm when I was young - never got passed Stage 4, but it was good times.

I sitll have the PSX emulator copy, one of the best game ever. This series deserves as much phrase as Gradius Rtype, a very first game that made a enjoable 3D shmup.
