I've never found a use for the Inika heads (my cat ate all the Inaka masks I had...) so using them as shoulder pads is an AMAZING idea!

There are just so many models of Transformers, its a wonder Lego hasn't introduced their own series yet.

It's not a wonder. Kreo has the rights to it, which means lego has to stay away. It's the same reason why nothing that megablocks makes has a similarity to lego's themes, and vice versa.
Plus, lego can't do anything that would cause small children to go watching PG-13 movies, which is why several projects on Cuusoo got stopped, like Sean of the Dead, and the Ghost in the Shell tachikoma.
