Description
Some StarCraft II fanart for ya.
The adepts are the all-female ranged infantry units of the Protoss army, introduced in the Legacy of the Void expansion. Adepts throw energy glaives from their giant arm blaster and make up for their slow movement speed by casting a psionic "shade" that travels ahead- like a beacon- they can then teleport to.Design-wise, I pretty much free-styled all the details while maintaining key elements such as the blaster and back-mounted portal. (I was amused to see how "off-model" I was, in hindsight, but the process turned out to be more fun when I wasn't just 100% replicating an existing design.
)Just for kicks, I played around with the "team colors":

I don't really get the adept design cuz they have that teleportal on their back, but it doesn't get in the way of their nerve cords? Unless they were only fielded after everyone cut their cords (or only Purifiers are supposed to have them)

I really wish we had the Protoss lore expanded more! We do have a lot of them in the game, but all the additional material, like the comics, focus mostly on Terrain.Β
