Description
The cast of SSnPP in cel-animation style! (full view please~)Notes: First of all, no- I didn't include Pepperbrandy, even though I know of a lot people like him.
Haven't quite resolved how my steam-kitty (and consequently, *all* the animals) will look for the animation just yet. Second of all yes- I know, 'Jack & Sally, Nightmare Before Christmas, yadda yadda'. ¦þ To be honest I named Sally in like 2 seconds when I first started creating this world. I named Jack along with 6 other boys in like 10 seconds and it was just the natural writing process that led to them being friends. Yup.Actual Design Notes: Pretty happy with how my cast looks together. The height comparisons aren't entirely set in stone yet, but as long as they look like they can exist in the same world, we're gravy.
I started with color roughs to make sure they looked okay side by side:

Why not? I was at Comic-Con this weekend and educational comics were a legit thing that sold.
Maybe? Marvel did a Star Trek/X-Men crossover comic and the big lolz comes when a random crew member says "Dr. McCoy?" Dr. (Leonard) McCoy and Dr. (Hank) McCoy both go "Yes?"

Man such a great lineup, I love seeing how your characters' silhouettes and proportions all contrast when they're standing side by side like this! SO EXCITED!

All about those broad gestural strokes when drawing each of them. (I wish more beginner artists would learn this; I'm tempted to put out like a tutorial in .swf format that shows you how to draw characters, one step per mouse-click.)

I'd be really interested in seeing it if you do! I prefer broad gestural strokes when I ink, and I really need to improve on my sketching methods and having more confidence in my lines there too >_>

Well if it's the final inks, especially for animation, it should be okay to tweak and transform it in Photoshop. 
(The tutorial would be doubly helpful to train assistant animators on the project...

You're thinking of this one ...I deliberately left most him in shadows and eerie glows to mask what his real color scheme might be. XD;;
But yeah, created him way back in 2009 / finally made up my mind what color he is like just a couple days ago.

Just looked through the singular deviations and read the design notes
-Haha wow I actually never noticed Pete doesn't always wear his barrel in the comic XD now I'm interested in those other "random objects" Pete ends up wearing
-Sally's cape heck yea
-heheh heck yea Doc's shape language! I'd like to see how her walk cycle's handled with that dress of hers :3c
-Ooh Jack's green coat fits quite well with Sally's "perky-er" green dress. They look like a neat duo with their colors alone :3
-Oh yeah Nina's hair would be pretty challenging to animate *__* but man, do I want to see her in action!
-Aaw Ohm and Morticus have matching color schemes <3 truly they are dressed for villainy.
-Spurs! Oh how I still want to learn more about him!
Seeing your characters in color is such an awesome way to conclude the year, I'm really excited to see how these guys are going to look like in the future.

-Yep; early on in the comic I thought it'd be a keen recurring gag (KEEN I SAY!) if he kept swapping out what he wears, but I ended up not because it might get too confusing/break the tone I was going for. The chart of random objects would be a fun bonus thing though.
