Steffi's ref sheet for 's tournament, Law of Talos!I really, really shouldn't be entering this >.>; But c'mon, look at those competitors! How could I say no!?
Lessee... Steffi's background info is all still the same from [link] , though she is 14 now. Note that, unlike Hanabi, she is actually a reasonably-heighted person that I just prefer drawing in chibi style >.> So note that she's not actually a midget or a small child. Intro comic will be up.. at some point... I haven't started yet D;

Well for starters I'm not planning on getting into another 3 page argument explaining myself.
But I will tell you that when Endling makes a ref sheet for an OC tournament a few days later near every big name deviant decides to enter the same thing. Seems simple enough, BUT when Endling decides he doesn't want to put any effort into finishing it near all the people who followed him in the first place quickly abandons there current project and follows him to the next thing. Basically I mean whatever Endling endorses, apparently everyone else endorses it too, no matter there own opinions. (by everyone of corse I mean those I mentioned earlier, you wouldn't believe the crap people blow out of proportion to make an argument)
But for those who follow him in hopes of versing him I'm afraid there's not much of a chance of him entering anything, he doesn't seem to have the time to make anything other than ref sheets.
And don't worry, I'm not an anime fanboy.

My only response is that this was an INVITE tournament, as in all the contestants were invited separately by the people holding it, including Endling. We didn't all follow him, we were all invited around the same time. It's true that most of us are in a group that chat together and such regularly, but Endling isn't our leader and master.

Ah, this is a result of a lack of information.
However since it was an invite tournament that basically means the tournament's founder simply started an OC tournament for there friends and contacts. And I have noticed all the "bigshots" centered around Ending's page, and he seems to have the most power over the group.

I'm gonna call bullshit on this, right here and now.
First off, yes, a few folks on the higher end of the pageview count circulate in the chatroom we have. These folks are all very talented individuals, and they have earned every single number on their page. Did it ever occur to you that these alleged "bigshots" perhaps like to hang around people they respect as friends, and get feedback and advice from them as artists?
Second, the only reason it seems like a lot of "bigshots" are following the trail is because you've completely disregarded the lesser known people. For heaven's sake, did you even notice the people in the LoT roster with a pageview count under 50K? Or did you just assume that they all are rolling in fans and attention, because they're on the roster along with artists who are lucky enough to get the attention that they deserve?
Third, yes, the tournament is invitation-only. I can tell you why it is, because I was there when it was first proposed. A bunch of friends in a chat room were discussing how tournaments are fun, but sometimes people we want to go against don't make the cut, or how sometimes we disagree with the judging results, or the tournament setup just isn't what we were looking for. And then we concluded that what we really wanted was a good clean fight against one another with judges that we could trust. It's not an insult to people who weren't invited and it's not some sort of elitist contest.
Fourth, next time you feel inclined towards hurling radical accusations, I would encourage you to actually have some basis for them. I would also suggest that you not let "a lack of information" be your excuse again. Being uninformed is your problem; when you feel like being uninformed and slanderous, it becomes our problem as well. Try doing some research before you point fingers. People might actually take you seriously.

But seriously, I've been through this already, (infact your comment looks almost identical to the one during ~ToyKingdom , go figure) but I defiantly don't want to burn so many bridges during my first year on hear, so I'm not arguing with anyone.

Well I don't mean to offend anyone, but I was only criticizing how I see mostly the same people in certain OC contests, and the first one I always see is Endling.

You're really only seeing what you're looking for. It seems a review of the scientific process is in order, or an introduction, as you seem somewhat unfamiliar with the concept.
The scientific process, the results of which can provide foundations for arguments, centers around the hypothesis, the experiment, and the conclusion. First, a hypothesis is formed--a guess at what might happen in a controlled experiment. The experiment is conducted. The conclusions detail whether the hypothesis was correct or not, and why.
What you have done is formed a conclusion without actually testing the soundness of it. The reason you've offended people is because you have made negative assumptions based on this conclusion, and been quite vocal about them. Plenty of tournaments have taken place with or without the people on the roster. The fact that we are on that roster is due to us being friends and enjoying tournaments, nothing more. If you had actually bothered to test your assumptions, you hopefully would have realized how baseless they really are.

Ugh once again I'm done with this, it's not worth getting worked up about it. I posted without realizing people would pay so much attention and I could have been easily corrected without half a dozen people joining in and telling me what an idiot I am.
Now for the last time if I offended anyone by not knowing the magnitude of the situation than I apologize, I'm just trying to be smart and drop it before my reputation gets ruined.

Um implying that artists either have no creativity or are part of some sorta cult following of Endling is bound to not sit well 'A'; It's be like if I claimed your Tiff character was a ripoff of Endling's Lilith because she has pigtails and skull hairpieces, and said you were obviously just copying him like everyone else.

That's where those views came from, anyway I'm not saying anybody is ripping off Endling, I'm saying whenever I see Endling make a ref sheet for some OC contest I see most of the more popular artists following in his footsteps. This could easily be the result of some force unseen by myself, but occasionally through impulse I work myself into a corner by people misinterpreting my original point. I try not to offend anyone, especially my idols.
OCs have nothing to do with my complaint.
(And for the record Tiff's design was based off of Lillith due to a drop in creativity, she wasn't originally made as an OC)

Generally, if everyone abandons a contest at the same time, it's not because End did it. It's because we all simultaneously came to the same conclusion: the contest was not being maintained well enough, and was no longer worth our time. Case in point: RitS.
