Hello, I'm sure you're a very nice person, just caught up in an argument that you needn't have had to be involved in. I respect that.
However, I don't respect that you have such an attitude that you don't think that pixel art (and emoticons, for that matter) should be disrespected. I respect your opinion, yes, but I doubt you'd be thrilled if an artist were to come and start ranting on about how the art you do is rubbish. There's been a lot of controversy over whether or not emoticons are art. Sure, emoticons don't take as long to create as some other pieces of art (sometimes, anyway). But then again, what defines art? I wasn't aware that it was the time it took Emoticonists are a form of art, just as photography, manga, literature and other mediums/forms of art are. Why shouldn't they be unworthy of a Daily Deviation (which might I point out is just a feature and therefore all this fuss is ridiculous). You might suggest I'm a hypocrite now. No, I'm really not. I am just an artist defending one of their art forms. And it is an art form, no matter what any one says.

do you really think that emoticon was hard to make or are you just arguing because you want to be right? you like pointing out flaws? why not point out the obvious flaw that is this deviation?
and why do you stress the fact that it's "just the internet" so much? arguing that something is pointless works for everything down to the existence of anything, so yeah, everything is about as important as you make it to be, replying to my comments means you care, saying you don't care also means you care.

pixles are like paints, the major features of a visual piece of art are the same no matter if it'*s a sprite or a painting, meaning that this emoticon would suck even if it was painted with oil, ms paint is not harder to use than a brush and paints, both methods can yield high or low quality results,

Pixels are not like paints. And again, if you think they are so easy, then why don't you do it? Hmm? Oh yeah. Because they are hard, take time, and are incredibly small to work with.
I'm sorry, but not all art is the same. In fact, no art is the same (excluding tracers) Digital art creates different results than digital. Pixel art creates different results than regular digital artwork. If you can't see a difference, then you're blind. And you are blind at that.
And i'm stressing it is the internet since you seem to think everyone that gets a DD is the best of the best. Again, not everyone can be featured. And not everyone WILL be featured either. I don't see a flaw in this. I'm sorry, but i don't. You're fucking bitch who needs to get over your jealous, self-conscious ass.

Well I have one thing to say about all of this. Everybody had their own opinions, and sometimes we may disagree, but you don't need to yell at people because you want to be "right". There is no right when it comes to opinions. There is no wrong.
It's like religion, I don't believe in god, but you may. (I am saying may, I don't know anything about you so...) It doesn't mean either of us are right or wrong. We both have different opinions on things.
So you can continue arguing, although its quite pointless now, or you can walk away.

Just cause emoticon art might not be as large as your drawings, it doesn't mean it's easier.

Actually, you need to be able to make something in order to fully understand its inner workings.
You can't just go around pointing fingers and saying something is easy to do when you haven't tried it yourself.
And even the easiest of things can be the most beautiful or most meaningful. It's "easier" to take a picture of a lone flower but the right picture will be worth much more than a painting someone took days to do but doesn't convey any emotion.
Art is all about emotions - a word that is closely associated with emotiCons. This one in particular portrays many emotions depending on who's looking at it. Therefore, it is art and art that is feature-worthy (hence why it's a DD).
Oh and pixel art is hard as hell to do... I tried it many times and failed many times.

I have been making emotes for over 2 years. I thought [link] was going to be easy to make, because the animation was really simple, and I have done dozens more complex. I was wrong. That emote ended up being hell to make; it took 4x longer than I estimated!
