Personality:

Bones has a very ‘by the book’ personality, as in she normally tries to play it cool and under the radar, and tries to follow the ‘rules’. She loves to learn new things, and while conversing with her, you may find that she’s mostly quiet, a listener, and when she speaks, it’s with another question for you to answer. She doesn’t normally continue to carry out conversations that don’t grab her interest, however. and may end with an ‘Ah,’ response, and drop into silence. Silence is never awkward for her, however, as she rather enjoys the change of pace from the almost constant noise her two best friends provide her with. Although she is normally quiet and thoughtful, when she’s with Allyn and K.C., she can be mildly sarcastic and less serious.

To go along with her love for learning, Bones is pretty intelligent, and has an ability to pick up things taught to her fairly quickly as well as the ability to solve problems (or repair objects) through her deductions and previous knowledge of other things.

Personal History:

Bones was born and raised on Moro Island to her parents, who had just moved to the Orange Island Archipelago after having lived in Goldenrod, Johto for their lives. She grew up near the Kruzer family property, and as a result, made friends with a lot of the children who lived there -- Allyn and K.C. included. It was the family’s interest in competitive battling that originally sparked Bones affinity for it, and she planned to journey with Allyn and K.C. once they started.

By the time they’d seriously started training, Bones discovered that her fascination with Pokemon in general and her yearning to learn more about them was far stronger than her want for Pokemon battle. After a talk with her friends, the girls decided that they would all part ways, and she pursued her career in Pokemon Research.

She attended classes by great Pokemon professors and learned about every species thus far discovered by man, retaining the information as a fully-updated Pokedex would. Her interest in ancient Pokemon and fossils drew her to the Sinnoh Region to intern with Professor Rowan shortly, before transferring to Orreburgh to begin excavation and field work in the Sinnoh underground. She found many fossils and provided several specimens for research, and had continued to do that for a long time. While visiting with Rowan, she got a phone call from Allyn, saying she wanted to go on a journey for the Pseudo-legendary. Being that the call was from Allyn, and that Bones had already had all the knowledge needed to find the epic Pokemon themselves, she agreed to help out.

The pair quickly went through the regions, where Bones’ knowledge for Pokemon and their habitats came into good use for finding the ones Allyn sought. When they found the last, Monozu, in the Unova Region, Allyn told the girl she’d return with her to Sinnoh to help her with her research, as repayment for helping her find her current party. Although Bones works part-time as a mechanic, the two girls continue to work under various Pokemon professors, and spend a lot of time doing research -- especially in their home region of the archipelago. However, Allyn always manages to drag Bones out on vacation every so often to go Pseudo-hunting. Bones always agrees to go along, in hopes of discovering more ancient Pokemon, and possibly making other discoveries on her own.

A recent phone call from K.C. about her new job in the Ohana Islands had Allyn packing. And of course, Bones would oblige to follow.

Current Team

Kuroko is Bones’ starting Pokemon, gifted to her as a Houndour by her parents. She’s an intensely loyal monster, who is always looking out for Bones’ best interest. While Kuroko is the only Pokemon the girl trained for a while, she’s extremely powerful and is able to understand wordless commands as well as her trainer’s desire without said commands. The two are inseparable, and Kuroko is always on Bones’ person.

001 the Aerodactyl is pretty much just an angry beast. He was an experiment kept in a Pokemon research lab for a very long time, thus his label, ‘001’, and was often conducted experiments and studies upon. When the lab decided he was getting too aggressive for further research, as well as too much of a liability to release into the wild, Bones volunteered to take him. The girl decided to free him out of the pity she felt for it, but after a while, the monster only returned to her. In thanks for his few days of freedom, he obliges her every command.

Reginald is the most recent addition to Bones’ team, found in Sinnoh as a Purotouga while searching for Monozu. He’s pretty playful and really enjoys the water, but his big stature often gets in the way of his fun times, unless in really open areas. He’s really easy going, and loves his trainer to bits. He’ll do anything for her.

Edit/ 02-01-11 Redid Bones' design, the way I said I would somewhere if you read a little further. I actually did that two birds with one stone type deal. Only, I don't like the idea of hitting any amount of birds with stones. Not cool, people.

ANYWAY. I decided (with the help of others) that I was going to use Bones for the BSC, so I redid her design for that, and figured I'd just put the same image here, since this is ideally what she would look like. If you wanna see what I had before click here.

Also figured I should stick a link in here for you curious about her pre-character overhaul. Mind you, when viewing this, Bones was WAY underdeveloped and completely different from the way Bones is 'officially' or 'as of now' or 'actually.' So she doesn't actually own any of those Pokemon, and the description is way off. XD But just to show y'all, anyway. Clickie. /endediT

I started this only, like, FOREVER ago. Finally finished.
Some of you might remember Bones from the UBF; if you do, erase her from your memory. I did a TOTAL overhaul of her character. Also, during the art block period and the overhauling of her character, I decided that what she’s wearing isn’t very close at all to what I’d like her to be wearing, but until I come out with an updated image of that, you can have this one. :3

Ask her why she’s in the islands and she won’t tell ya. But you can read this thingy I wrote for the hell of it. It’s not very good, and fair warning, it doesn’t reveal much, but it might be interesting to read if you wanna know a little bit more about it.

I'm thinking about doing more drabbles involving Bones, Allyn, and K.C.. We'll see how write-y I feel.

Side note. Ancient Pokemon are hard to draw. :C

I dunno how long it took, I did it so sporadically. Bones was sketched on paper, later redone in Paint Tool SAI, as everything else was.
