Description
Yeah, first drawing in 2011Thats just a random illustration to Stanislaw LemΒ΄s "Return from the Stars". I really enjoyed that book
During the flight back to Earth the "Prometheus" (the spaceship in the background) was passing a nebula, when the crew noticed a small planetoid covered with dust from the nebula. They sent a crewmember with a small rocket to explore the celestial body, when an terrible accident happened and the connection to the rocket was lost.
The picture shows the attempt of Hal Bregg (the main character) to rescue the first cosmonaut from the dust. He holds a gas gun in his hand to give him the impulse.
Around 6 hours, black and blue ballpoint pens, bit afterwork with PS 11.

Err? There were no soviet people on the moon, the soviets sent some "Luna" probes in the fifties and sixties...

Aaah!
Well, I tried a bit to imitate their design a bit, because the author was polish and the book was written in 1961
