Fairy Tale (obvioulsy )
Inuyasha
Spice and Wolf
And Attack on Titan 

I also love Miyazaki stuff like Spirited Away and Howls moving castle

I haven't gotten the chance to read any Manga though.

Yeah, I think Attack on Titan is an awesome story, but after a few episodes I sometimes need to take a break and shake off all the depressing stuff.

Inuyasha was My first Anime show that I ever watched and really got into I still love it to this day Its not to Gorey, but at the same time not too funny
