Typography tutorial !!!!!!at last, in two (whole) days, i have finished!
i really did my best to make a great,useful and organized tutorial.
this is my first tutorial and i hope i did a pretty good job.
please forgive me for all the grammatical errors.
and if you have any questions,just leave a comment!

What program are you using and are you new at working with it? I would suggest some basic tutorials on that before you jump into this.

no. step 8. but almost 9. there is the layer and im kinda still confusing.

in step 8. you create a new layer (Ctrl + Shift + N) then you use the words (that you made into a brush) and brush it over the layer. there will be three layers in step 8.

you just create a layer mask on the layer you covered with brushes.

oh.in step 7,you go to "new" or just press Ctrl+N. then click your Type tool(T).
type in the word that you want to be inside of your picture.After typing,rasterize the word by going to the layers palette>right click on the word>rasterize layer.
after that,go to Edit>define brush>ok. THAT'S YOUR FIRST WORD.
step 8 is just using the words that you made in step 7.click your Brush tool(B).
go to the UPPER RIGHT PORTION of the screen and you will see Brushes(next to File Browser).clisk brush tip shape then find the word that you made a while ago.
is it okay now?

Great tutorial! I use Photoshop 7.0 too and I'm glad this one uses Ps 7 unlike most that use things that Ps 7 doesn't have.

Those are online programs, right? I haven't tried the tutorial, yet, but GIMP is a free downloadable program that works well for graphics.
